she/her

I have worked in NHS Mental Health Services since 1996 and qualified as a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist in November 2015.

I have worked in both Adult and Child & Adolescent Mental Health NHS contexts. I am an accredited member of the Association of Family Therapy (AFT) and UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I work as an Independent Psychotherapist and am a tutor on the intermediate course at the Institute of Family Therapy.

I also offer Equine Assisted Therapy using the LEAP method.

I can offer systemic therapeutic work to individuals, couples, and/or families. My approach is an integrative, conversational one, grounded in Social Constructionist and Narrative theory. I pay particular attention to attachment, childhood development, and family scripts (stories). I invite my clients to embark on a collaborative journey with me, to think about personal and /or relational difficulties, and to co-create a context where desired change can happen.

I offer therapeutic work connecting to:

  • relationship difficulties

  • depression

  • bereavement/loss

  • abuse

  • anxiety

  • anger problems

  • sexuality

  • addiction problems

  • eating difficulties

  • post-natal depression

  • mood changes associated with menopause

  • difficulties arising from Neurodiversity

  • difficulties arising from Gender Identity

I have lived experience of caring for a parent with Alzheimer's Disease.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is crucial to any successful course of therapy and find the practice of Mindfulness to be very helpful in this regard. I offer Mindfulness practice as a therapeutic tool, where appropriate.

When working with young people and their families, I will sometimes suggest less conversational tools, as a way of exploring relationships and difficulty. For example, the use of toys, drawing, music, sculpts or nature-based work.

Fees

Individuals: £60 per 50 minutes

Couples: £110 per 1hr 15 minute session.

Family (two or more people) £130 per 1.5hr session.

I offer a number of reduced fee places, to those who may not be able to meet the full fee.
